
The Infrastructure Ministry of Ukraine initiates the introduction of contactless train tickets to fight speculators, infrastructure minister Borys Kolesnikov told a press briefing in the Cabinet, ForUm correspondent reports.
The official explained that today tickets purchased via the Internet, can be scanned to the phone, "then hover on the machine at the station and get it."
According to him, all of the major stations of Ukraine are to be equipped with machines to scan tickets.
Moreover, after the introduction of the autumn trains schedule, new refund regulations for unused tickets will be introduced. So, when you return the ticket in less than three hours before the scheduled departure of the train, you get 50% of its value, but after the departure of the train - only 10%.
On March 30, 2010, registration and payment for the ticket on the Internet and its subsequent printing in a booking office was introduced in Ukraine.
