Foreign Ministry should strengthen the system work in the direction of the Ukraine’s foreign policy economization, President Viktor Yanukovych said during the meeting with the heads of foreign diplomatic missions of Ukraine, President’s press service informs.
"We need to strengthen the economic component of our diplomacy and the work of our ambassadors and diplomatic missions ... I see that there is work in this direction- cooperation with domestic manufacturers, businesses," he said. He particularly noted the participation of Ukrainian ambassadors in business forums organizing, their efforts to strengthen links between producers and consumers of Ukraine in the countries they work in.
"It is extremely important for us - to protect the interests of the state. Increase of trade turnover and economic growth is our main goal," Yanukovych said.
The President reminded that Ukraine's foreign turnover has increased in recent years and now the dynamics is being preserved.
"I am convinced that the creation of the flexible mechanisms of cooperation in the framework of public-private partnership, the creation of conditions for business, investments is the path, which will lead us to success," Yanukovych said.
