The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine recognized Kyiv and Odessa as the settlements with the best municipal improvement and maintenance of public order among the cities of category I (having population over 500 thousand people) in 2011.
This decision is stated in the government’s decree № 653 of September 10.
These cities will be awarded government’s cups and the first degree diplomas.
In addition, Donetsk will be awarded a second degree diploma and Dnepropetrovsk - a third degree diploma.
The winners of the competition are considered towns that achieved the best results in the implementation of socio-economic development of a settlement.
