The Internal Ministry of Ukraine purchased water cannons in planned mode, and not specifically before the elections, head of the Department of public and sports activities of the Internal Ministry of Ukraine Oleh Matveytsov told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reported.
According to him, the Internal Ministry has water cannons of the Soviet production, so this is a normal updating of equipments.
"These water cannons were purchased during the holding of Euro-2012, nobody bought them due to the elections," Matveytsov stressed.
