Last Friday, May 25, National Bank governor Serhiy Arbuzov and representatives of IMF mission to Ukraine held a meeting on Ukraine's participation in the informal forum of controlling agencies and politicians "Vienna Initiative", formed to provide a framework for coordinating the crisis management and crisis resolution of financial sector issues.
"We believe that the National Bank of Ukraine will be a functional member of "Vienna Initiative", and that the participation in this group will do Ukraine good. We have already delivered a statement on our official support to all members of the "Vienna Initiative"," head of the IMF mission to Ukraine Christopher Jarvis said in a statement, published on the official website of NBU. (Earlier such support was declared by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the National bank of Austria).
NBU governor thanked for the assistance in the "Vienna Initiative" program and noted that Ukraine appreciated the estimation and recommendations of the specialists on this issue.
