Ukraine hopes to sign long-term contracts for the supply of grain crops to Lebanon, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has told reporters, while commenting on Ukraine's participation in a promising project on the construction of a grain terminal in the Lebanese city of Tripoli.

"We discussed this question in detail. The terminal's capacity is approximately up to 150,000 tons of grain per day. Of course, the construction of such a terminal should be conducted in case of the guaranteed long-term contracts for the supply of grain," said Azarov, who is on an official visit to Lebanon, UKRINFORM reports.

The prime minister had invited interested parties to discuss this issue and added that a state-owned grain company would work from the Ukrainian side.

Azarov said he was confident that the funds invested in this project would bring profit. "I'm convinced of this, but additional documents are needed," he said.
