Vice PM Serhiy Tigipko declares a necessity of benefits monetization. He said this at the government question Hour in the parliament, ForUm correspondent reports.
In particular, he informed that 90% of people, entitled to benefits for electricity payment, prefer the benefits being paid with money.
He also noted that the disabled insist the government give them not wheelchairs, but vouchers, with which they can choose a wheelchair by themselves while the Cabinet will pay the purchase.
At the same time the vice PM assured no total benefits monetization is planned.
Speaking about the controversial draft bill on benefits, Tigipko assured MPs that in fact the draft bill does not provide for reduction of social benefits.
