
Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko has stated Ukraine has a possibility to produce gas at least 20 billion cubic metre a year She stated at the meeting with the administrative-economic activists of the Zaporizhzhya region.
‘We use 78 billion cubic metre of gas a year, while we have the possibility to produce 20 billion cubic metre of biogas a year,’ stated the Prime Minister speaking of the movement to alternative power sources.
Tymoshenko said this is a quite real forecast, and biogas can substitute natural gas, which becomes more and more expensive.
As ForUm reported, there is a yard №1 for solid household waste products in the Zaporizhzhya region which is the base for processing dump gas to produce alternative energy.
