Mayor of Donetsk Oleksandr Lukyanchenko requested his citizens “not to sell, not to bring, and not to consume alcoholic beverages”.
As announced by UNIAN this was released in an appeal from the Mayor to inhabitants and guests of the city published on the eve of the celebrations.
“The City administration appeals to you with the heartfelt plea not to sell, not to bring, and not to consume any alcoholic beverages in any locations where large celebrations are being held” the appeal reads. With this Lukyanchenko expresses the belief “in our understanding and also that our celebrations will take place in a peaceful, friendly and celebrative atmosphere.
The Mayor of Donesk reminded that in accordance with the celebration plans for the city form 5-9 July, there will be displays, concerts, sports competitions. Additionally, within the framework of the celebrations on July 7 and 8 there will be a Mega Concert in Lenin Square and massive popular festivities and dancing.
