The eastern and north-eastern regions of Ukraine will have the lowest temperature on the New Year Eve, and the southern and south-western regions - the highest one, director of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center Mykola Kulbida told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
"On the New Year the lowest temperature will be in the eastern and north-eastern regions. Night temperature will be from 4° to 9°C below zero and 1° to 5° C below zero during the day. The highest temperature will be in the southern and south-western regions of Ukraine - from +1° to + 6°C," he said.
According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, the western, northern and central regions do not expect precipitation on the New Year, but the temperature will be -1° to -5° at night and about 0° during the day.
However, according to Kulbida, Kyiv does not expect significant precipitation on the New Year as well, except for sleet. The air temperature will be -1° to -3° at night and about 0° during the day.
