There is no legal mechanism for the Customs Union to introduce any sanctions against Ukraine if Kyiv signs an Association Agreement with the European Union, government commissioner for European integration Valeriy Piatnytsky told journalists, ForUm correspondent reports.
"As for the Customs Union, there are a lot of uncertain issues. First of all, the Customs Union does not exist today as an international entity. I do not know how it is going to impose sanctions today, as the procedure is not defined," he said.
Piatnytsky said that now it is not clear what mechanisms the Customs Union will use because of the threat of harm from the FTA creation between Ukraine and the EU.
He stressed that Ukraine is considering possible disputes.
