Reassessment of pensions of Ukrainians to the level of 2013 needs 60 billion UAH, social policy minister of Ukraine Natalia Korolevska said during her working visit to the Chernobyl nuclear power plant exclusion zone, ForUm correspondent reports.

"There is a problem of equalization of pension legislation. We do calculations. During the first quarter of 2013, the Pension Fund has exceeded the plan by 700 million UAH," the minister said.

She said that resources should be accumulated to reassess pensions.

Korolevska hopes that in the second half of 2013, pensions will be reassessed to the level of 2008. "Hopefully, next year we will be able to reassess pensions for a couple of years to reach at least the level of 2010, thus we will remove the main gap in the calculation of pensions. It is a task, on which specialists work, as the problem touches upon not just Chernobyl veterans, but the whole country," the social policy minister concluded.
