European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Štefan Füle hopes for the early ratification of the Ukraine-EU agreement on visa facilitation, he said at a meeting with Ukrainian parliamentarians in Kyiv on Thursday, ForUm correspondent reports.

Füle noted that the mobility of Ukrainians will change the lives of the citizens of this country. "We work hard to make it easier for the Ukrainian citizens to travel to the EU," he said and reminded that Ukraine should "establish protected borders and documents and enhance the interdepartmental cooperation."

The European Commissioner said that after the end of the first phase of the action plan on visa liberalization, the EU will monitor the work done in Ukraine and will start the second phase of the action plan. He also noted that the European Parliament could accept changes soon regarding the visa regime simplification for Ukrainians.
