
Ukraine is interested in long-term economic cooperation with India, particularly in the expansion of bilateral trade, investment cooperation and joint projects, President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych said during a meeting with Indian businessmen in New Delhi, the press service of the head of state reports.
"We are interested in long term cooperation. I am confident that India also intends to expand a bilateral trade, investment cooperation and joint projects," he said.
The President stressed that a good basis for mutually beneficial cooperation has been already laid by the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Indian Commission for trade, economic, scientific, technical, industrial and cultural cooperation, which has significantly increased its activities this year.
According to the President, Ukraine considers cooperation with India as one of the strategic directions of the foreign policy.
