Ukraine will actively develop the renewable energy sources, President Viktor Yanukovych said during a ceremony on putting into operation of the Botiyevsky wind power station in Zaporizhya region, the press service of the head of state reports.
"The development of alternative energy is a strategy of overall development of our energy," the President said.
Yanukovych stressed the importance of project implementation to build the Botiyevsky wind power station. "These steps are very important for us and for our country," he said.
The President stressed that the government will continue to work on creation of motivation for investors to put money in the construction of such facilities.
