Ukraine is looking into possibility of the natural gas supply from Turkey, first deputy Prime Minister Valery Khoroshkovsky said the interview with the Day newspaper.
"Ukraine is actively cooperating with Turkey in the field of exploring the possibilities of gas transportation from Turkey to Ukraine," he said.
In addition, Khoroshkovsky reminded that Turkey had previously invited Ukraine to participate in the construction of the Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline. Now the issue of a consortium to implement the construction is on the contracts signing stage.
The Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline (Trans Anadolu, TANAP) runs from the east to the west of Turkey up to the border with Bulgaria or Greece and will be an integral part of the Southern Gas Corridor project.
