July 1 this year, the minimum of subsistence for state social assistance increased from 80 to 100% of the minimum of subsistence for the disadvantaged families, the disabled and the senior citizens and from 50 to 75% for children, ForUm learned from the Finance Ministry of Ukraine.
"With this purpose, while introducing amendments to the State Budget of Ukraine for 2012, the total amount of subventions from the state budget to the local budgets to aid the families with children, disadvantaged families, people disabled from the childhood, disabled children and provide temporary care for children was increased to 638.9 million UAH," the statement says.

Since July 1, the amounts of childbirth aids are as follows: 27 510 UAH for the first child, 55 020 UAH for the second child, 110 040 UAH for the third and subsequent child.
