Ukraine should create the necessary basis for the athletes’ preparation for the Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016, the Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said at a meeting of the Organizing Committee of the Ukrainian sportsmen for the Olympic, Junior Olympic, Paralympic and Deaflympic games.
"Now it is possible to set serious ambitious task of preparing a good Olympic base after hosting the Euro 2012," Azarov said.
The Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economy to plan expenses before preparing the state budget for 2013.
He noted that the government and relevant agencies have prepared at the high level for the Ukrainian athletes' participation in the Olympic Games in London, which will be opened on July 27.
