Cabinet's course on deregulation of economy should not result in decrease of bad enough quality of Ukrainian products, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said at a meeting with representatives of public organizations and experts on consumers' rights protection, ForUm correspondent reports.

"We have to find a balance so the reduction of control does not result in irresponsibility. I want to point out that in 2011 relevant control services checked 3.5 thousand tons of food products and 35% of them were withdrawn from circulation due to bad quality," the Premier noted.

According to Azarov, it cannot be considered a progress, but just the first steps.

"For example, Ukrainian consumers have questions to the quality of oil products. The Cabinet is now considering changing technical regulations for similar production," Azarov said.
