The Ukrainian government continues to pay and increase social payments, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov stated, opening a meeting of the Cabinet, ForUm correspondent reports.

"Let me remind all Ukrainians that the government continues to perform strenuous but necessary social obligations. For example, since December 1, 2013, the government has increased the amount of state social standards, minimum wages and living wages and, respectively, social and pension payments," Azarov said.

According to him, the state social assistance was increased for young mothers, needy families, disabled from birth, children with disabilities and others.
