The quality of drinking water in Kyiv public water supply will be checked daily.
The corresponding instruction was given by chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Popov to the General Directorate of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service in Kyiv, the press service of the city administration informs.
"Currently, the city sanitary and epidemiological service analyzes quality of drinking water once a week. However, taking into account the rapid melting of large amounts of snow and the passage of high water, monitoring of tap water quality should be carried out daily," the head of the KCSA said and promised to publish the information about deviations from the norm on the official website of the city administration.
"However, Kyiv residents have no reasons for concern so far," Popov assured.
He also added that according to the experts of the Institute of Colloid and Water Chemistry of the NASU, water quality in metropolitan artesian wells and pump-rooms is normal.
