It was a justified decision to close today’s session of the Verkhovna Rada, MP and chairman of the parliamentary faction of the Party of Regions Oleksandr Yefremov told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reported.

"You saw that the Parliament opened the session and made a decision to work in committees for two days. It was absolutely justified decision, because yesterday many issues planned in advance were excluded from the agenda within the conciliation board. And members of the opposition asked not to include in the agenda more than 140 bills, which they offered to consider," he said.

That is why, in his view, MPs need time to study out the bills of the agenda. "Committees should hold an appropriate hearing. The speaker gave the heads of committees a relevant instruction. We believe that in two days, this work will be conducted. And on Thursday, we will start a normal and constructive work of the Parliament," Yefremov noted.

He also said that the faction considers that the elections should not affect the normal work of the Parliament.
