The Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko declares for now there exist no prerequisites for fluctuations of national currency. She announced during the briefing on Monday, government portal reported.
The Head of Government stressed in first half-year of 2009 as compared to analogous period of last year negative trade balance has reduced 15 times: from minus USD 7 billion to minus UAH 417 billion.
“It means there are no grounds for fluctuations of the national currency for now. All the economic showings imply the hryvnya should strengthen,” Yulia Tymoshenko stressed.
The Premier urged on the National Bank of Ukraine to immediately settle order on the currency market: “The situation in the National Bank today, which is slump of the national currency, cannot be explained by any economic or crisis reasons. I consider dozens billions of hryvnyas are still being earned when the country is in trouble”.
