Foreign currency deposits not to be converted

The National Bank of Ukraine has not considered and does not plan to address the issue of conversion of foreign currency deposits in hryvnia. This was stated by director of the NBU department for foreign currency reserve management and open market operations Oleksandr Dubikhvost at a round table, ForUm correspondent reports.

According to the financier, it is the official statement of the regulator.  "Such an approach is possible neither in terms of the basic rights of private property, nor from the point of view of the market," the expert assured.

He noted that such information is a speculation that harms the domestic financial system and ordinary citizens.
