
Ukraine is interested in the early signing of the Association Agreement and its entry into force, speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak said during the meeting with the head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Jan Tombinski, ForUm learned from the parliament’s press office.
"The conclusion of the Association Agreement will be the best incentive for Ukraine in terms of continuing the comprehensive reforms to strengthen democratic development and the rule of law," Rybak said, adding that deep and comprehensive free trade area requires special attention in this context.
The speaker emphasized that cooperation with the European Parliament on key issues on the EU-Ukraine agenda is extremely important for the Ukrainian Parliament.
Volodymyr Rybak expressed confidence that the 16th EU-Ukraine Summit will be an important step on the way to the signing of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement, as well as the transition to the second phase of the implementation of the Action Plan on visa liberalization.
Speaking about the further simplification of the visa regime between Ukraine and the EU, Rybak noted the importance of the early entry into force of the agreement on visa facilitation. "Parliament is ready to review the bill quickly," the speaker assured.
