Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to provide an optimal control model of the Okhmatdet National Children's Specialized Hospital, considering the opinion of the personnel, the press service of the head of state reports.
According to the President’s order, the Cabinet should ensure the use of the best model to manage the hospital in order to maintain the availability and quality of tertiary health care to children, which is provided in the Okhmatdet Kyiv Hospital.
The government should also ensure the promotion and adoption of the development strategy of the Okhmatdet National Children's Specialized Hospital for the period up to 2018, providing the development priorities of tertiary care.
The instruction states that the development strategy of the hospital should pass with the participation of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, professional associations of health care workers and supervisory boards, operating in the hospital departments.
