Ministry of Culture and Tourism is not considering the issue on giving away objects of cultural heritage to religious organizations, Culture Minister Mykhailo Kuliniak told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.

"I've studied the draft bill on objects of cultural heritage. I can say only one thing - such delicate issue needs thorough consultations. I will recommend discussing this question at All-Ukrainian council of churches," Kuliniak said. According to the Minister, before adopting the raft bill it is needed to hold public hearings.

In addition Kuliniak underlined that holding church services in Sofia cathedral is out of the question. "Mass gathering of people can damage fresco-painting," he added.
