The Education and Science Ministries of Ukraine and Russia are planning to hold a common remembrance lesson dedicated to the 65th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (World War II).

Minister Dmytro Tabachnyk and Russian Minister Andrey Fursenko agreed to hold the common remembrance lesson during a meeting of the Humanitarian Subcommittee of the Ukraine-Russia Intergovernmental Commission held recently in Moscow. The lesson is planned to be held in April-May at all schools of Ukraine and Russia.

"Lessons for pupils of the initial and general educational schools should be held based on the events from the history of the native region. It is important to reveal historical significance of victory over invaders, to show the reasons of heroism and selflessness of liberators of Ukraine," the Ukrainian Ministry's recommendations read, UKRINFORM reports.
