President Viktor Yushchenko has approved the decision of the Verkhovna Rada to impose ban on the gambling business in Ukraine. He signed the corresponding law, the ForUm’s correspondent informs.
As a reminder, On May 7 the Cabinbet of Ministers suspended the licenses of the gambling buildings for one month. Later on May 15 the parliament adopted the law on ban of the gambling business.
On June 4 President vetoed the law, expalining that the law violates the Constitution. On June 11 the Verkhovna Rada overcame presidential veto for this law. The VRU also refused to support proposition concerning this law, made by the President.
