President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko on behalf of Ukrainians and on behalf of himself has congratulated Pratibha Devising Patil with the election for the post of the President of Indian Republic.
In his greeting, Yushchenko expressed confidence that further Ukrainian-Indian cooperation will facilitate strengthening of double-sided relations for the benefit of both States.
The President of Ukraine wished the President of India good health and success in responsible State activity, and wished friendly people of India peace, happiness, and prosperity.
For the first time in the history of India woman was election for the post of the President.
