Year 2014 to be financially stressful for Kyiv, Hereha believes

Thanks to the adopted budget of the capital this year, the city authorities will fulfill all social guarantees, Kyiv City Council secretary Halyna Hereha told a briefing in the Kyiv City Council, ForUm correspondent reports.

"Most importantly, the budget provides all the guarantees that the city authorities will perform this year. All social programs were taken into account. Also UAH 500 million were provided to pay wages ... It's a big amount of money and it is budgeted," she said.

At the same time, Hereha noted that as the 2014 budget provided only UAH 1 billion for capital investment, only major infrastructure projects would be financed.
