The Foreign Ministry called on foreign politicians to remain objective and show restraint in their public assessments of events in Ukraine, as well as to respect the sovereign right of the Ukrainian people to resolve their internal issues on their own, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reports.
"Officials of some foreign states and international institutions have recently been trying to take a direct part in the political processes in Ukraine. In this connection, we urge all of our foreign partners to remain objective and impartial observers, show restraint in public assessments, be guided by the fundamental principles of international law and respect the sovereign right of the Ukrainian people to resolve the question of internal development on their own," the Foreign Ministry said, Ukrinform informed.
The Foreign Ministry also emphasized the "particular importance of the independent settlement by Ukrainians of problematic issues in political life" in connection with proposals by some foreign partners of mediation in resolving the situation in Ukraine, including through the use of relevant international organizations.
