President Viktor Yanukovych asked Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka to find a way to release protesters, who were arrested after the events on December 1 in Bankova Street. 

"Yesterday evening I had another conversation with the Prosecutor General on course of investigation. I asked him to find a way ... and release the people who did not commit gross violations. I think that today, this issue will be resolved," he said during the meeting with the former presidents of Ukraine.

The President noted that while it is difficult to say how many people will be freed, but all mitigating circumstances will be taken into account.

In addition, he urged the protesters to unblock roads and administrative buildings.
