State Budget 2014 should be the budget of regional development, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said at the cabinet’s meeting.
"It's very difficult to develop and approve the budget in today's economic realities. However, we must do that and we’ll do that," he said.
He noted that the President of Ukraine has identified the main directions of socio-economic policy for 2014. "Budget of 2014 should be the budget of regional development," Azarov said.
According to him, it should be focused on public funding for construction, repair and construction of social infrastructure such as schools, kindergartens, hospitals, clinics, culture and sport institutions.
