President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych has urged not to oppose Ukraine's European choice and cooperation with the Russian Federation, he said, speaking in the Parliament on the occasion of opening of the third session of the Verkhovna Rada of VII convocation, ForUm correspondent reports.
"Attempts to oppose the European cooperation and cooperation with our strategic partner the Russian Federation and the countries of the Eurasian community are unfounded," he said.
Yanukovych also noted that the Association Agreement with the EU, as well as a free trade area with the EU, will open new opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation and further convergence with our strategic partners in the Eurasian region.
