Ukraine will never exchange national interests, national security and sovereignty for cheap Russian gas, economic development and trade minister Ihor Prasolov told the Al Bayan Arabic newspaper.
He reminded that during more than a year Ukraine has been discussing the possibility of adjusting the gas contracts signed in 2009, considering them unprofitable, and insists on revising the prices for Russian gas supplies.
"In talks with Russia Ukraine's position is to have fair market conditions and develop projects of mutual benefit," the minister stressed.
