The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine is concerned about reports on use of chemicals in the suburbs of Damascus, and calls for the non-engaged and comprehensive investigation into the incident.
"Ukraine is deeply concerned about the reports of world media on the clashes with the possible use of toxic chemicals in the suburbs of Damascus, 21 August 2013. A large number of civilians, including children, were killed and injured. We call to a non-engaged and impartial investigation into circumstances of this tragedy," press office says.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry expresses its condolences to the families of the victims and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured.
