Ukraine is officially involved in the process of consultations with the Russian Federation on the ban on Roshen products, the Economic Development and Trade Ministry of Ukraine press service says.

"Ukraine will act quickly enough on the issue. Once the information of Mr. Onishchenko’s statement became known, we immediately set up a working group, and I head this group, which also includes agrarian policy and food minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk. We were ready and we have a plan of action," economic development and trade minister of Ukraine Ihor Prasolov said.

As he said, the main objective of the working group is a quick solution to the problem, an objective assessment of the facts, protection of national interests, restoration of Ukrainian products export.
"The situation affects the interests of more than 8.000 employees of our businesses, which could affect the balance of trade, threatens to decrease tax revenues at all levels. We will insist on fairness and protect the national interests," Prasolov said.

The minister mentioned that Ukraine will conduct a balanced policy to prevent aggravation of the trade relations between the two countries.

"Sequence of actions is the following: consultations will be held with the Russian side, we will study the request and the official results of the examination, and will continue to negotiate on inspection of our business by specialists of the Russian Federal Service for Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare. According to the results of the inspection, we will decide on resumption of export of Ukrainian goods to the Russian market. Our experts are ready to come to Moscow for talks at any time, as soon as we agree with the Russian side," the minister added.

As noted, the inspection of the Roshen plants will be held at the enterprises of Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Mariupol and Kremenchug.
