Preparation of housing and public utilities of Ukraine for the heating season 2013-2014 is ahead of schedule, 55% of the plan is already done, regional development, construction, housing and communal services minister Hennady Temnyk said during the all-Ukrainian conference call in Kyiv.
However, according to the minister, some regions lag behind the targets. In particular, Volyn and Chernivtsi regions have not provided the plan for the preparation of water pumping stations. Vinnytsia region and Kyiv are slow to prepare specialized equipment for winter.
Temnyk also thanked Crimea, Donetsk and Kyiv regions, which have managed, compared with the previous reporting period, to intensify the preparations.
