Quota principle of formation of the Central Election Commission of Ukraine is the most acceptable one at the moment, chairman of the Central Election Commission Volodymyr Shapoval said in interview.
"There is nothing wrong with that, it provides a certain inner balance," he noted.
"One of the objectives of the CEC chairman is to cement its composition. No to make or contemplate a war, which ends only with a total defeat, but to find a balance of interests, as here there are party, personal, and others interests," incumbent CEC chairman added.
"So I once again emphasize that such a procedure for the formation of the CEC in Ukraine at this stage of its development is correct. If in fact the commission would be politically monochromatic, then objectively there are many problems, in particular, the problem of the opposition access to important information," he said.
