In Ukraine, the road patching will be completed by the end of June, head of the State Agency of Automobile Roads of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) Yevhen Prusenko told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
"Unfortunately, our roads continue to deteriorate, though not as intensively as in February and March of this year. However, the patching of principal roads will be completed by the end of May and the patching of local roads - by the end of June," he said.
According to Prusenko, as of May 20, 2.9 million square meters (63%) of pavement were repaired, including 2.4 million square meters on principal roads (98%) and 0.5 million square meters on local roads (37%).
According to him, the amount of such works on principal roads amounts to about 200 thousand square meters and on local roads - more than 1.5 million square meters.
