Lithuania is one of the most consistent and active friends of Ukraine in the European Union, vice Prime Minister, co-chair of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Lithuanian commission for trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation Kostyantyn Hryshchenko stated.
According to the press service of official, apart from the XVth session of the Intergovernmental Commission, Hryshchenko will hold meetings with the leadership and members of the Government of Lithuania, get acquainted with the experience of emergency medical aid station in Vilnius and the Vilnius University, will speak at the international conference "Magdeburg law: historical and modern communications between the cities".
"Lithuania is today one of the most consistent and active friends of Ukraine in the European Union, our important economic partner. There is intense dialogue at the presidential level and at the governmental level, which both sides seek to enhance," vice Prime Minister said at the beginning of the visit.
The agenda of the meeting includes discussion of ways to strengthen and develop the partnership between the two countries in economic and humanitarian spheres, analysis of the implementation of the agreements reached during the official visit to the Republic of Lithuania President Viktor Yanukovych on February 6.
