Construction of Kaniv pumped storage power plant is to be started next, director general of "Ukrhydroenergo" Ukrainian hydropower company Ihor Syrota said, ForUm correspondent reports.

"The project has already undergone examination. In June, we are going to submit it to the Cabinet of Ministers for approval. At the same time, we are working with the World Bank to get financing for this project," Syrota noted.

According to him, the project will cost about 12 billion UAH.

The Ukrhydroenergo director added that construction of Kakhovka HPP-2 is to be started in 2016.
"Feasibility study is going on. Implementation period of the project is 5 years, the cost of construction is about 5 billion UAH," Ihor Syrota said.

According to the press service of the Cabinet Secretariat, the second unit of the Dniester PSP is planned to be launched next year. About 2 million new jobs are already created at its construction.
