The parliamentary powers of MP from the Batkivshchyna faction Serhiy Vlasenko were terminated after the decision of the Higher Administrative Court of Ukraine and the additional decision of the Verkhovna Rada on the matter is not required, deputy chairman of the Central Election Commission Andriy Mahera said.

"If a judiciary body takes decision on the basis of the Part 4 of the Article 81 of the Constitution of Ukraine, the mandate of the people's deputy of Ukraine shall be considered early terminated by the court's decision and additional solutions of the Parliament are not necessary," Mahera explained in comments to "Interfax-Ukraine".

He also informed that the CEC will consider the issue of registration of the next MP on the Batkivshchyna list instead of Vlasenko after it receives the text of the court’s ruling. "Once we get the sentence of the Higher Administrative Court of Ukraine, we will study the decision at the meeting of the Central Election Commission. I believe inappropriate to voice the decision in advance, as it is taken not by an individual member of the CEC, but by the whole membership," deputy chairman of the Central Election Commission said.
