Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov considers that it is difficult to expect the normal economic performance if justice is failing.

"Justice is the basis of the execution of the current legislation on the principles of fairness. It is the basis of the normal functioning of any state, and, above all, of any normal economic system. It is difficult to expect the normal economic performance if the justice is failing," Azarov said during the solemn meeting on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Supreme Court of Ukraine, the Cabinet’s press service informs.

He noted that this is why the rule of law, protection of economic freedoms and respect for the European principles will form the basis of judicial reform, being conducted in Ukraine.

The Prime Minister presented the judges with awards, and wished them good health, happiness and prosperity.
