Membership of Coordinating Council on adaptation of Ukrainian legislation to the EU norms renewed

The Cabinet of Ministers renewed the Coordinating Council on adaptation of Ukrainian legislation to the European Union legislation. The resolution, which approves the new composition of the Council, was adopted on March 6, 2013 during the government meeting, the Justice Ministry press service informed.

Thus, the Coordination Council on adaptation of Ukrainian legislation to the EU legislation will be headed by the Prime Minister of Ukraine. The justice minister will be the deputy chairman of the Council.

The Council membership will also include the chairman of the Council of Entrepreneurs under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and a representative of the General representative body of employers at the national level.

In addition, the Coordination Council membership includes the infrastructure minister, the economic development and trade minister, the regional development, construction and housing minister, the agriculture and food minister, the interior minister, the environment and natural resources minister, the energy and coal industry minister, the foreign minister, the education and science minister, the youth and sports minister, the healthcare minister, the finance minister, the defense minister, the income and fees minister, and the social policy minister.

The membership will also include heads of individual Committees and Commissions, in particular of the Antimonopoly Committee, the State Committee for Radio and Television Broadcasting, the National Commission for Communications Regulation, the State Commission for Regulation of Financial Services Markets , the State Securities and Exchange Commission, the State Commission for Energy Regulation, the governor of the National Bank.
