Azarov instructs to reconstruct sport grounds

Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has instructed the Social Policy Ministry to develop proposals on increasing material aid to orphans.

"At the last Cabinet’s meeting, the President announced new initiatives aimed at social protection of children. The first requirement is to increase state support for the most vulnerable categories. To implement the new initiatives of the President, I instruct the Social Policy Ministry to prepare and submit in a month the proposals on substantial increase of material aid to orphans and the needy families by the end of 2013 and for 2014. You should carefully consider all the financial capabilities and resources. We will need to take them into account in the changes to the state budget in the first quarter," Azarov said.

He also recalled that the state social assistance to orphans and children deprived of parental care has increased from January 1, 2013.

"The President of Ukraine has also set the task to return sports grounds and gyms to each educational establishment. I am convinced that this task can be accomplished in the current year, if its implementation is carefully prepared and resources are concentrated. Therefore, I instruct the Regional Development Ministry, the Youth and Sports Ministry, together with the Education Ministry and the regional authorities to make an inventory of educational institutions within a month. Where there are no sports facilities, a program of construction or reconstruction and recovery should be made, and resources for its implementation should be identified. We will consider the program at the Cabinet’s meeting," the Prime Minister said.
