The Kyiv City State Administration plans to allocate about 100 million UAH for landscaping and planting this year, chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Popov told reporters, ForUm correspondent reports.

According to him, the funds will be attracted from the capital budget and other sources.
"We will fund directly up to 80 million UAH for projects of landscaping and planting flowers. However, we still have other sources of funding of these projects. In general, this amount could be around 100 million by the end of the year," Popov said.

Thus, according to him, the chestnuts in the Khreschatyk Street will be planted at the expense of philanthropists, who have addressed the city authorities with the relevant initiative.

"Some Kyiv resident would like to buy a very high-quality planting material - chestnuts - and plant them in the Khreschatyk Street in spring. Of course, we support this initiative, and this action will be carried out at non-budgetary funds," the head of the KCSA said.
