There is no threat to environmental security at Bortnychi aeration plant, regional development, construction and housing minister Hennady Temnyk said during rapid retreat on the technical condition of the plant dams, the Ministry’s press service informs.
Temnyk noted that the situation at Bortnychi aeration plant is under constant control.
According to him, the Regional Development Ministry, the Kyiv City State Administration and the specialized research institutions have conducted inspection of the facility and found no reasons for the emergency.
"There is no threat to environmental security. There is local dusting in the dams’ slopes. Currently, three research institutes are involved in the technical expertise, on the findings of which the technical condition of buildings will be established. Following the meeting, it was agreed that the contractor, who performed the works to strengthen the dams, will perform the relevant works to bring the state of dams to design solutions at his own expense until March 5, 2013," Temnyk said.
