Starting of the work of Belyayevska-400 exploratory well in Kharkiv region is another step towards strengthening Ukraine's energy independence, President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych said during working visit to Kharkiv, ForUm learned from the President’s press service.
"For us it is important to increase our energy independence from year to year and to use all the natural resources available in Ukraine," he said.
The President also drew attention to the fact that this project will provide new jobs for two thousand people. "We are moving in the right direction. I wish the project a good way," Yanukovych said.
